The players are the most important asset of a club. If the players cannot be used or are not fit, targets and goals cannot be achieved. Therefore, it is important to get the players in the best possible shape and protect them at the same time. However, in the wake of an injury, there is often a gap in the treatment process, even in professional soccer. The physiotherapist and doctor usually ensure that the player regains full motor skills.
The athletic trainer then takes over the player and tries to reintegrate him into team training. We have developed the HZ Rehatrainer in soccer in order to optimally fill the intermediate step between doctor/physio and athletic trainer. The focus is on all aspects of soccer-specific rehabilitation after an injury.

Target group of the certificate “rehabilitation trainer in soccer”
The certificate program is a Germany-wide education and training program and is aimed at employees who are al-ready working as rehabilitation or athletic trainers or would like to work in this field in the future. The content taught can also be of great benefit to professional coaches, co-trainers, club managers, physiotherapists or employees of therapy and rehabilitation centers, because it expands their own skills in an important decision-making area. Active soccer players and sports students with a keen interest in soccer who are aiming for a professional future as athletic trainers or rehabilitation coaches in soccer will also benefit from the experience.
Improving players in the long term while maintaining their health is a task in soccer that is becoming increasingly im-portant in professional, semi-professional and youth soccer.
Requirements for participation in the certificate course are a qualified high school diploma, a high level of interest in soccer and rehabilitation, experience in soccer, and completed vocational training in a recognized profession that is conducive to the course, as well as at least three years of professional experience that is conducive to the course.

The program also underpins the fact that there are clear roles and responsibilities within the club and that this re-quires the appropriate knowledge and skills, which participants can acquire in this program in a theoretically sound but practical manner.
The content is taught exclusively by top experts. The certificate specifically addresses the requirements, challenges and innovative applications for active and aspiring rehabilitation coaches in soccer. Based on scientific principles, participants deal intensively with treatment measures, muscle activations, joint stabiliza-tion, mobilization, strength training and coordination training in the individual modules.
