EARN A POINT: By taking part in a four-week virtual programme, you can have one experience point credited towards the entrance examination process for the DFB's coaching courses.
The role of a coach, regardless of their specific function, now encompasses many different areas in both professional and semi-professional football and therefore requires extensive knowledge. Coaches must have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of what happens on and off the pitch on a daily basis. The development of the team and of individual players plays a key role in this.
The necessary knowledge across all areas of sports science and training now forms the basis for success and builds the necessary trust between the coaching staff and the team. Furthermore, a sound understanding of all physical fitness aspects is fundamental to being a well-organised and successful coach, including in communication with the players and the coaching staff.
