Cup winner Sturm Graz<\/span> is <\/span>Social<\/span> Media <\/span>Champion 202<\/span>3<\/span> in Austria<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/h1><\/div>

The <\/span>SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz dethroned the <\/span>FC <\/span>Red<\/span> Bull Salzburg <\/span>and <\/span>secures<\/span>e<\/span> itself 202<\/span>3 <\/span>for the first time the Austrian championship title in the <\/span>Social<\/span> Media League<\/span> of the International Football Institute <\/span>(<\/span>IFI<\/span>)<\/span>. <\/span>The Cup Winner 2023 <\/span>celebrated<\/span> thus the “Digital Double”. <\/span>Second place this year was taken by <\/span>Salzburg<\/span>followed by Wiener Austria.<\/span> Only sixth place went to <\/span>Rapid<\/span>, the WAC finished last in this ranking.<\/span> The in<\/span> Munich\/Ismaning<\/span> resident<\/span> International Football Institute (IFI) independently and scientifically evaluated the official <\/span>Social<\/span> Media<\/span> Accounts of the <\/span>twelve<\/span> First division teams over the entire <\/span>Season <\/span>20<\/span>2<\/span>2<\/span>\/2<\/span>3<\/span> the admiral <\/span>Bundesliga <\/span>away<\/span>.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

Christoph <\/span>Oberlehner<\/span>,<\/span> Head of the <\/span>IFI<\/span> in Austria,<\/span><\/span> congratulates the <\/span>SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz<\/span> on the title<\/span>:<\/span><\/span> \"Congratulations to Sturm Graz for the Austrian <\/span>Social<\/span> Media Championship 2023! This championship title shows perfectly that, in addition to sporting success \u2013 which Sturm certainly had last season as Cup winner \u2013 it definitely also pays to invest in issues that connect your own club very directly with the public. Emotional, creative and credible \u2013 this is how the 'Blackies' further increased their already high follower numbers and achieved impressive interaction rates on almost all platforms. At IFI, we are researching and evaluating this because we are working with the <\/span>Social<\/span> Media Championship that there is much more to modern soccer than just the 90 minutes on the field. Particularly in order to bring the young generation closer to top-level Austrian soccer, the Bundesliga clubs have set up presences on the most important <\/span>Social<\/span> Media platforms now indispensable.<\/span>\"<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Prof. Dr. Katharina Sch\u00f6ttl<\/span><\/span>who <\/span> at the <\/span> Private University Schloss Seeburg<\/span> (<\/span> Seekirchen am Wallersee<\/span> & Vienna)<\/span> teaches, <\/span> at the IFI the <\/span><\/span> Department of Digital <\/span>Communication<\/span><\/span> directs<\/span> and the <\/span> <\/span>IFI <\/span>Social<\/span> Media League<\/span><\/span> responsible, <\/span>to the outstanding<\/span> Social<\/span> Media Performance 2022\/23 of <\/span>Storm<\/span> and on best practice in Austria<\/span>: <\/span>\"I congratulate SK Sturm Graz on their championship title in the Austrian <\/span>Social<\/span> Media League 2023 of the IFI! An important building block of the Styrians' success is their authenticity in communication. Sturm Graz has earned the <\/span>Social<\/span> media championship, as the association has succeeded in attracting a broad <\/span>followers<\/span> a high level of interaction on the most important <\/span>Social<\/span> media channels. This confirms the quality of the posts and shows that the club is succeeding in communicating with the various fan groups at a high level and thus extending the sporting success into social media as well. In the process, all multimedia functions of the <\/span>Social<\/span> media platforms are used on a channel-specific basis to convey the emotions surrounding the team digitally and thus bring the fan even closer to the action. Sturm has won the title in Austria against strong rivals such as defending champions FC <\/span>Red<\/span> Bull Salzburg and Austria Wien, which for years have been among the top clubs in the <\/span>Social<\/span> Media League count. The top three in Austria are distinguished by their increased and skilful use of moving image formats, by the fact that they have regular <\/span>Collab<\/span> posts on Instagram successfully underscore the partnership nature of sponsorships, as well as leveraging the reach of partners through this format, and that they also convey impressions outside of traditional sports coverage.<\/span>\"<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

The <\/span>International Football Institute <\/span>IFI published <\/span>in<\/span> Germany<\/span> already<\/span> since<\/span> the<\/span> Bundesliga season<\/span> 2016\/17<\/span> respectively<\/span> to <\/span>End of season<\/span> the<\/span> Social<\/span> Media<\/span> League.<\/span> In<\/span> Austria<\/span> launched<\/span> the<\/span>se <\/span>Analysis<\/span> with<\/span> the<\/span><\/span> Bundesliga season<\/span> 2020\/21<\/span>. <\/span>The evaluation is based on<\/span> developed by the IFI,<\/span> independent <\/span>Social<\/span>-Media Index (SMI) developed by the IFI.<\/span> In the process<\/span> since the 2021\/22 season<\/span> the five most important <\/span>Social<\/span>-Media-<\/span><\/span> Communication channels of the <\/span>twelve <\/span>First division players (Facebook,<\/span> Instagram, YouTube<\/span>,<\/span> Twitter<\/span>, <\/span>Tik<\/span> Tok<\/span>) <\/span>via i<\/span>n Sum 1<\/span>9<\/span> Key figures <\/span>(<\/span>z<\/span>at <\/span>B<\/span>eXample<\/span> Followers<\/span>, interaction and growth rates, post<\/span>-H<\/span>frequency<\/span>)<\/span> Scientific<\/span> analyzed and evaluated in a well-founded manner<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
